Katalyst was born from a simple but powerful idea: the best version of you starts with how you care for yourself every single day.
We're not here to sell you a quick fix. We're here to help you build a daily ritual — one where looking after your body and your mood becomes a habit you actually look forward to, not a chore squeezed in between everything else.
Our story
It started with a question that wouldn't leave us alone: Why does the equipment used in wellness studios and spa rooms — silicone LED face masks, full-body light panels, heated recovery wraps — stay locked behind an appointment, a drive, and a price tag most people can't justify month after month?
The hardware existed. The cordless batteries existed. The 660nm and 850nm LEDs existed. Yet for most people, "red light therapy" still meant a one-hour booking at a studio half an hour away — or nothing at all.
So we set out to build the version of this category we couldn't find for ourselves: cordless devices, designed for your couch and your bedside table, priced so a real person can own one without a second thought.

What we believe
Wellness should feel good before it "does" anything.
We design every Katalyst device around how it feels in your hand and on your body first. If a product isn't comfortable to actually use — too heavy, too loud, too fiddly to charge, too cold against your skin — it will end up in a drawer no matter what the spec sheet says. So we obsess over the unboxing, the weight, the warmth, the curve of the silicone, the tactile click of the power button. Those details are what turn a gadget into a ritual.
Cordless or it didn't happen.
The single biggest reason people abandon a home wellness device is the cable. Plugged into the wall means tethered to a corner — and a corner is the one place a real human will never sit for 15 quiet minutes. We publish the LED count, the wavelengths in nanometers, the battery capacity in mAh, the maximum surface temperature in °C, the run-time per charge, and the device weight. No buzzwords, no theatrical promises. The fastest way to lose trust in this category is to overpromise — so we'd rather tell you what the device actually is and let you decide.

Where we are now — and where we're going
Katalyst is a small, independent brand. We design our products in close partnership with a long-term manufacturing partner, ship from a US warehouse, and read every single review and email that comes in. That feedback shapes the next version of every device — the strap that wasn't long enough, the timer that needed an extra preset, the silicone that needed to be softer.
We're slowly expanding the product line — bigger panels for full-body sessions, more wearable formats, smarter charging — but we'd rather ship two products well than ten products that disappoint. So please be patient with us, and please keep telling us what you wish we made next. We're listening.
